ABET allows companies to assist staff members in giving staff an opportunity to learn basic numeracy and literacy as part of a workplace-based development.

ABET offers a foundation that will allow individuals who complete the course to pursue further education from Grade 8 upwards.

1. ABET Level 1 – Equivalent to Standard 1 or Grade 3
2. ABET Level 2 – Equivalent to Standard 3 or Grade 5
3. ABET Level 3 – Equivalent to Standard 5 or Grade 7
4. ABET Level 4 – Equivalent to Standard 7 or Grade 9 or NQF Level 1
